Corona mutation: Mask is mandatory for people above 60 years of age in the state
Due to the increasing number of corona cases in Kerala, strict vigilance is being maintained at the state borders and masks are being made mandatory for senior citizens as a precautionary measure.
Health Minister Dinesh Gundurao has said that no one should worry about the corona virus in the state. However, masks are mandatory for those above 60 years of age. The state government will issue an order from today, he said. He was talking to the media at Kushalanagar in Kodagu district.
The minister said that people above 60 years of age and those suffering from heart and kidney related diseases and those suffering from fever, phlegm and cold should wear masks compulsorily.
We have held an advisory committee meeting.. . In the meeting discussed what action should be taken. He also said that he has discussed with the central government and has received some suggestions and guidelines.
